Routines.Club Made $200k in 6 Months With a 9 Page Website

Okay so what about a website that details people’s routines and monetizes through affiliate links to products. How much could that make? Well Hamza Alamtab is finding out.

Hamza is the cofounder of Tamba.ca, a digital product agency specializing in research based UX design.

But today we’re not interested in the agency. We’re interested in his side hustle that launched in mid 2023. Routines.club.

It’s a website that covers the routines of influential people like Andrew Huberman, Andrew Wilkinson, Peter Attia, Tim Ferriss, etc.

The crazy part is that he’s only covered nine people, hasn’t really focused on it and generated $200k in EBITDA in its first six months.

He thinks it will hit $600k-$1 million this year and he’s hoping to build it into a $100 million business.

The site consists of a time schedule with quotes on what people do and a bunch of affiliate links throughout.

But it works! The site is getting 40k visits a month. After all… people trust people. We don’t want to read fake Amazon reviews. We want to know what the experts are doing and do the same.

So what can you do?

Well some people are trying to blatantly copy the site (like goodroutineclub.com) but I think we can be more creative than a copycat.

Now what has higher affiliate fees than supplements? B2B Saas!

Courtesy of a recent episode of Where It Happens with Greg Isenberg and Alex Lieberman an interesting idea is a G2 / Kit.co mashup (starts at 35:15).

G2 is a software recommendation site. It hit $100 million in revenue in 2023 and is worth over $1 billion. But Greg and Alex don’t use it. Neither do their friends.

Kit.co is a site where people list the products they use. Like what MKBHD uses for his YouTube channel.

The idea was to do a kit.co, but for B2B software. So instead of reading random reviews, you could look at the tech executives and founders and see what they’re using. Then the revenue from the affiliate links would be shared across the members sharing their details on the site.

Seems like a no brainer
— Greg Isenberg

Craziest part. Alex has a friend in tech that has a simple google doc he sends out to people that follow him on Twitter. It just lists his tech stack. It has affiliate links. He’s making $40k per month from it.

There’s value to tech founders/creators as it’s an absolute pain to set up these affiliate deals.

So yeah. Affiliate based B2B community tech stacks. Boom goes the dynamite!
