$75k Per Year by Outsourcing Restaurant Design Requests

There was an interesting post on reddit where user Lool324 was looking for tips to scale their business. The business was a restaurant design website that made $75k per year in revenue with $40k in profits. The interesting part was that it was almost fully automated.

The requests would come in through the website, the fees were prepaid and invoices went through their virtual assistant and accountant. Then the work was done by designers, I assume freelanced out.

I found it interesting that the owner was basically not focusing on the business and it was still making enough to be a good side business. I think someone who had the skills to create a nice site with a sub-niche restaurant focus could do well with the same structure. Create a site with some template menu, specials list, drink list, features, etc. Then work on the sales funnel. You could also include packages for new restaurants or bundle deals for restaurants that change their menus often.

Then another part of the site could be for restaurant logo’s and general design work. Then you outsource to Fiverr or Upwork. Once you have a few designers that you like and some scale you could work in the virtual assistant to take care of that work.

On Side Hustle Nation #518 Nick mentioned that he took a course which recommended you underline your affiliate links. He made the change and had an 8% increase in traffic and 12% increase in commissions. So underline!

You’ll be happier if you measure from the start vs. your goal.
